تاریخچه


Fars, the ancient heritage of Iran, has been blessed with the artistic works of the Persian Aryans since the dawn of the time, changing this place to the center of culture and architectural masterpieces of the Achaemenid and Sassanid. Once it heard of Islam, the glorious era of Iranian-Islamic works, a rich and unique treasure in this land just began. Over the least millennium, Shiraz has become the highest manifestation of Iranian-Islamic culture and art, and has become the center of attention of the world. Relying on this fame, Shiraz's University's College of Arts and Architecture was established in 1994.

Initially, a part of college of literature and humanities was dedicated to the College of art and architecture. With the expansion of the scope of the faculty's activities and the need for a larger physical space, part of the workshop activities was transferred to the engineering faculty, until finally, from October 2017, the faculty of art and architecture became an independent faculty. The current location of the Faculty of Arts and Architecture, which is the result of the generosity and kindness of the renowned philanthropist Mr. Ahmad Nader Kazemi founded in 2000. The College of Arts and Architecture continues to operate in this beautiful and luxurious space since that year. During this period, with the construction of new buildings, its educational space has developed significantly, and with the continuous efforts of faculty members and hardworking employees and students, the faculty has become a beacon of scientific and research activities in the fields of art, architecture and urban planning.
